About the Journal

The Journal of Prophetic Social Welfare (JPSW) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing theoretical, empirical, and practice-based scholarship in social work and social welfare through prophetic perspectives.
The journal explores how the values of humanization, liberation, transcendence, social justice, human dignity, compassion, empowerment, ethical responsibility, and social transformation can contribute to the development of contemporary social work theory, research, policy, and practice.
JPSW welcomes interdisciplinary scholarship that critically examines the relationship between ethical, religious, spiritual, cultural, and social values and professional social work. The journal provides a platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community organizations to engage in rigorous discussion of emerging issues in social work and human services.
The journal particularly welcomes original research, theoretical contributions, systematic reviews, conceptual papers, and practice-based studies addressing social work, social welfare, social policy, community development, humanitarian practice, faith-based social services, Islamic social work, and prophetic social work.
